TIFF to JPG Converter
TIFF is the workhorse of scanners, fax machines and document systems — and nobody outside those niches can open it. Convert TIFF files to shareable JPG images locally in your browser, keeping scans of private documents entirely on your machine.
How to convert TIFF to JPG
- Drop your .tiff files onto the box above (or click to pick them). Batch conversion is supported.
- Press Convert to JPG. The decoding and encoding run inside your browser — there is no upload step at all.
- Save each converted .jpg file with one click. That is all.
Why convert TIFF to JPG locally?
Scanned contracts, medical letters and archived faxes are exactly the files you should never upload to an anonymous converter. Here the TIFF decoder runs as WebAssembly in your browser; the file stays with you.
Online converters that upload your files have three hidden costs: your privacy (unknown retention policies), your time (upload + queue + download), and often your patience (watermarks, daily caps, forced signups). A browser-based converter has none of those: the processing power is your own device, and the file never crosses the network.
FAQ
Are multi-page TIFFs supported?
Currently the first page is converted. Multi-page extraction into separate JPGs (or a combined PDF) is on the roadmap.
What about black-and-white or fax-style TIFFs?
They convert fine — the decoder handles bilevel, greyscale, palette and RGB TIFF variants, including CCITT and LZW compression.
How big will the JPG be?
Usually 85-97% smaller than the TIFF, since TIFF often stores pixels uncompressed.
